Myth + Memory + Meaning = the Hero’s Journey Re-Imagined- Monday w/ Laura

$257.00

Aloha Monday writers:

This fall we will be exploring The Hero’s Journey to create new stories, essays and poems about all the important stages of a life that help us rediscover our emerging self. In this 6-week writing series, we will revisit the soul journey through a new lens, opening with grief as a way through the portal to a new life. Story is the magnifying glass we place over our soul, asking us to look deeper, to write fuller, and in these complex times to create our healing stories as part of our journey inside the journey of humanity.

This course is good for anyone writing a book, practicing the craft of writing, or wanting to explore big life transitions of any kind. We create content in this series!

We will be using the work of Maureen Murdock, Joseph Campbell and Diane Osborne, my STORYquest workbook and many poets and essayists to inspire us to write our own story.

Monday Dates for this series:  January 12, 19, 26 – February 2, 9, 16

Start Time:  4 p.m. Pacific time / 7 p.m. EST

Class is 2/12 to 3 hours long

Note on Auditing: If you need to miss a class, you can audit a class any day of the week or do the class on your own through Google Drive. Full classes are available after the class is taught. Details will come in your January 2nd welcome email.

Joseph Campbell said, “Once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in.”
