DEAR 2019…The Last Writing Workshop

The Last Writing Event of 2019…

DECEMBER 30TH, Monday at 4 p.m. Pacific time / 7 p.m. Eastern time / 2 p.m. Hawaii time

This pop-up online writing workshop will review rituals & customs through literature to guide us into writing our own stories – releasing 2019  and embracing 2020. In this 2 1/2 hour workshop, writers will have the following experience:

  • Listen to Inspiration for a class developed by Laura Lentz.  Writers Kim Addonizio, W.S. Merwin and Naomi Shihab Nye will be some of the writers offering inspiration to us to writer our own stories.
  • Writers will write twice and break out into smaller groups to read to each other with facilitators who offer feedback and community.  Groups for reading back to your peers will be no more than ten students.
  • After the class, you will have the opportunity to post your story on a PUBLIC Facebook wall…Dear 2019...only for the students taking the class.

If it’s been a tough year for you, if you’d had to reconcile, consolidate…if you are grieving or having to grab a MAGA hat off a relative at the holiday dinner…If you feel you’ve been screaming and nobody is hearing you, you may be right.

It’s time to take up more space. Let’s start with your story.
